A sexual or romantic attraction focused specifically on people with red or ginger hair, treated as a distinct turn-on rather than just a preferred hair color.
Red hair is rare, showing up in roughly one to two percent of the global population, and that scarcity is part of what makes it stand out as a category for people who fixate on it. Fans often describe the appeal as tied to the color's boldness against skin, freckling, or the cultural stereotype of redheads as fiery and unruly.
Also called: ginger fetish, redhead appreciation, ginger love, firecrotch (crude slang), red hair preference
