A roleplay practice where one partner takes on the persona of a puppy, often using a collar, ears, tail, or other accessories, and the other acts as handler or owner. It falls under the broader banner of pet play and is about headspace and dynamic more than literal imitation.
People are drawn to it for the chance to switch off adult responsibility and lean into a playful, obedient, or cared-for headspace. Sessions often include commands, praise, treats, and physical affection, with the handler providing structure the pup can relax into.
Worth knowing: Agree on limits, a safeword that works even in a non-verbal headspace such as a gesture or clicker, and aftercare before shifting out of the role.
