A negotiated arrangement in which partners agree in advance to act out a scene that simulates non-consent, such as resistance or struggle, while consent is fully established and ongoing underneath the roleplay.
Often shortened to CNC, it draws people who enjoy the psychological charge of power exchange, taboo play, or intense sensation within a framework of total trust. Because the appearance of the scene and the reality of the consent are deliberately split, it tends to require more explicit pre-scene discussion than most other kinds of play.
Worth knowing: Because the scene is designed to look like a violation to anyone outside it, partners should agree on a safeword and check-in method beforehand, since words like no or stop will usually be part of the roleplay itself.
Also called: CNC, ravishment play, abduction play, primal play, fear play, struggle play, interrogation scenes
