Moira owns a lingerie shop in Bristol, so she has spent more than twenty years helping women find bras that actually fit. She's 51, divorced, and mum to one grown son. She can look at a person and guess their band size before you've said hello.
She says it isn't magic, just practice. We think it's a little bit magic.

The Interview
What's the biggest mistake women make when buying lingerie?
Wearing the wrong size and thinking that's just how bras feel. A good bra shouldn't hurt. If you're relieved to take it off, it doesn't fit.
Anything else?
Buying it for somebody else. Wear it because it makes you feel good. If he likes it too, that's a bonus.
Any customer stories you can share?
A man once bought the same set in three different sizes "just in case." I told him she'd love that he was nervous, and that he should keep the receipts.
Do people act differently when they learn what you do?
Men become very interested in lingerie, very fast. Women ask for shopping advice. I'm happy with either, as long as they're polite.

What do you wear under your own clothes?
Matching sets, always. Even on the school run, back when there was a school run. It's nobody's business but mine, and it makes me stand a bit taller.
What would people not expect from you?
That I'm adventurous. Brunette, fifties, own a shop, sensible shoes. People expect me to be sensible. I am. I'm also a lot of fun, and I'll do something daft in front of you to prove it.
What's your biggest turn-off?
Bad manners. Confidence is attractive. Entitlement isn't.
Quick Fire
- Favourite colour to wear? Emerald green.
- Best shop-owner perk? Free tea and gossip.
- Weekend plan? Long breakfast, long walk, long bath.
- Hidden talent? I can guess a cup size from across a pub.
- Last thing you bought yourself? A silk robe. Obviously.

Our Take
Moira doesn't try to convince you she's confident. She just is, and it shows in the way she talks about bodies. Twenty years of helping women try on things they were scared to wear has given her a very relaxed view of curves. To her they aren't something to hide. They're something to dress well.
That attitude runs through her photos too. She looks comfortable and a little amused, like she's the one who knows the joke. Her long brunette hair, her curves and that easy smile do the rest.
She says she doesn't want to be 25 again. She wants to be herself now, with better taste and fewer reasons to care what anyone thinks. That's an attractive thing to hear from a woman who owns the shop.
