Let's get the obvious out of the way. Yes, Julie's figure is a lot. She's slim almost everywhere, and then there's one very noticeable exception. She knows exactly what you're thinking, and she's been answering the same question about it for years.
She's 27, a London student with long brown hair, bangs and a shy smile. She laughed at most of our questions, blushed at a few, and gave the funniest answers of anyone we've interviewed.

The Interview
Do people stare?
Yes. You get used to it. Mostly.
What's the funniest reaction you've had?
A man once tried so hard to keep talking while clearly forgetting every word I'd just said. I admired the commitment.
What's shopping for clothes like?
A nightmare. Anything that fits my chest is a tent everywhere else. My bras are made for me by a woman in Leeds who treats it like engineering. She's a genius, and I'd follow her anywhere.
What do you study?
Art history. I love paintings where you have to guess what the people are thinking. Everyone in a Vermeer looks like they have a secret.

Are you shy or playful?
Both. I'm quiet around new people. Once I'm comfortable, I'm silly. I do voices. I'm a mess.
What do people get wrong about you?
That I'm not clever. People notice one thing first and decide the rest. I'm actually quite academic. I have a spreadsheet for my reading list.
What's the best thing about being 27?
Still figuring things out. It's exciting not to know yet.
Quick Fire
- Favourite museum? The National Gallery, on a quiet weekday.
- Comfort watch? Period dramas with long, angry looks.
- Hidden talent? I can do a very good impression of my lecturer.
- Coffee order? Oat flat white. I'm a student, not a monster.
- Best advice you've been given? Look at things longer than feels necessary.

Our Take
It would be silly to write about Julie and pretend her figure isn't part of the story. It is. The proportions are dramatic, the slim frame makes them more so, and you will look twice. Julie knows that, and she has a sense of humour about it.
But she gets more interesting once you stop staring. She's young without being childish, shy without being timid, and a lot more thoughtful than people expect. The woman on camera looks bold. The woman behind the camera is quieter, still figuring herself out, and learning how it feels to be looked at.
Being looked at comes easily to Julie. Being noticed for the rest of it is what she wants. She won't complain if you see the first part too.
